Completion Monitoring

Flight department employees are very skilled at operating an aircraft, but may be involved in a completion only
once or twice a lifetime. What you need is someone that does this for a career. Having been
involved in over 100 completions, from Citation to Boeing, I know what it takes to deliver you a superior
product. Here are some of the steps I take -

If required, assist the client with obtaining a suitable aircraft
·
Represent the client in all technical matters as it relates to an aircraft during its completion
·
Assist the client with choosing a facility for the work
·
Negotiate or assist the client with negotiating the terms of the work
·
Coordinate with the designer and client to develop a specification for the completion, and working with them, help
to choose appropriate materials and processes
·
Review all applicable contracts and work orders
·
Review the incoming aircraft and its records
·
Monitor the complete interior completion and paint processes to ensure a very high level of quality
·
Ensure that the proper materials and processes are used per the approved specification and aviation industry
standards and make sure that all work meets the registered national authority’s standards for the aircraft type and
its expected operation

Keep the client informed throughout the process with regular progress reports
·
Review the paint process specification and coordinate with the designer and client to ensure their wishes are
met
·
Inspect the base paint coat to make sure it meets the highest standards
·
Review the layout of the paint stripes prior to putting them on the make sure they match the customer approved
paint scheme
·
Accomplish a detailed final inspection of the paint
·
Review the quality of all components and materials prior to their final installation in the aircraft
·
Accomplish any test flights prior to delivery with detailed tests of all systems and a very thorough inspection of
the interior installation for quality and conformity to its approved specification
·
Supervise and approve the resolution of any repairs that result from the test flight or other customer
inspections
·
Review the maintenance status and supervise any required maintenance that comes due during the completion
·
Review all approvals, log entries, etc. to make sure they meet industry and national authority standards
·
Assist the client with obtaining any required licenses and subscriptions
·
If required, assist the client with hiring any required crewmembers or obtaining the services of a management
company to operate the aircraft
·
Deliver the aircraft to the client ready for service
